Video of the Day: Ben Fox Smith – Farsi Song

You might know Ben Fox Smith from his time as frontman of 90s grunge rockers Stony Sleep, and subsequent bands Serafin, Medical School, First and most recently Young Saw Bones (all of whom are well worth checking out if you’ve yet to discover them) or as an occasional writer within these very pages.

Now writing and performing under his own name Ben has a new EP ysb8 (its title a nod to his previous moniker) out now via his own YSB Records label, and our first taste of it comes with the gently wonderful ‘Farsi Song’.  Taking the form of a list of wants, littered with delicious rhymes, the track comes backed with a nostalgic video that puts us in mind of the toy prism viewers expanded our childhood view of the outside world into a fantastical multiverse.
