Video of the Day: Piney Gir – The Longest Day of Spring (Stripped Witch)

Perennial Joyzine favourite Piney Gir seems to have a song for every celebration, having featured prominently on our annual Advent Calendar as well as on our Valentine’s Day compilation a few years back, and Halloween is no exception.  In fact she has so many odes to the spookiest day of the year that they’ve been collected into a 10 track EP titled Everyday Witch, due for release through Grey Day Records on 30th October.  Alongside lead track ‘Ugly Bones’, which is taken from recent album mR hYDES’S wILD rIDE you’ll find a cover of Daniel Johnston’s ‘Funeral Home’, collaborations with Correatown and The Real Tuesday Weld and this track, which is accompanied by a suitably eerie vampire hunting video.

Tune in to The Joyzine Radio Show tonight from 7-9pm on www.croydonradio.com for another track from the EP.
